TRUE CHRISTIAN CONFESSION Containing the Summary of the Doctrine of God and of the Eternal Salvation of Man ARTICLE 1: THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD
We all believe with the heart and confess with the mouth that there is only one God, who is a spiritual being; He is eternal, incomprehensible, invisible, immutable, infinite, almighty, perfectly wise, just, good and the overflowing fountain of all good.
We are also aware of what the bible says in James 2;19 “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder”. It is not enough to know and to teach learners that there is only one God. The bible says that even the devil and demons know that, but that knowledge alone does not change who they are. They remain evil and are on their way to the eternal fire of judgement.
Sadly many are the people, young and old who also know that God exists, that He created them and everything else but do not know God as their Father. There is only One way that we can come to understand who God really is, not just know Him as the creator, but as our personal Savior, our King and our Father and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ made this clear when He was asked by the crowd that followed Him. Note very well that this group also knew that God is One. John 6:28-29; Then they asked him “What must we do to do the works of God” 29 Jesus answered “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
TERM 2 ACADEMICAL PERFORMANCE
We had a few learners who still struggle with English and other learning areas. Grade 6 had outstanding results.
Intermediate phase learners who experienced barriers in learning were supported through extra lessons during the holidays. A lot of attention was given to English and Mathematics.
Day to day assessment continues in the foundation phase and so does learner support.
