Activities in Term 2

Class Activities

Grade 1- Learners were engaged in a number of learning activities and were very proud of some of their achievements.

Some of the themes they learned about while doing were dwellings and music.

Ball games

Learners of all grades took part on ball games as was scheduled for the 18th of May 2017.

We are in the process of identifying schools we can challenge for fun.

We also acknowledge that even though our learners had fun, the school is still looking at finding bigger space developed space for sports activities, and we trust the Lord for his provision.

Chess games

Our learners were busy practicing for the big game they will play against the Reformed Primary School Johannes Calvyn during Term 3.

Table tennis and Maths quiz

Sir Lovemore and Sir Mesheck coordinated maths quiz and table tennis respectively

We plan to have fun competitions on chess, table tennis and mats quizz in term 3.

Excursions

Only four learners did not go for excursions on the 23rd of June.

Foundation phase learners went to Kameeldrift, Rockridge Estate Pretoria and the intermediate learners visited SABC.

Foundation phase learners were busy with the theme- ‘people who help us” and the place they went to allowed them an opportunity to see and hear about a variety of occupations. They learnt about occupations at schools, hospitals, police stations and fire departments.

Each foundation phase learner chose which occupation they like the most and learnt more about it.

As always all safety precautions (such as drivers with passenger permits, signed safety agreement with the bus owners, indemnity forms for parents etc.) were looked into before learners could leave the school.

Intermediate phase learners met some of the well- known media personalities in South Africa.

FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS

We managed to issue the satisfaction survey and we are thankful for all the parents who were able to take part and provide the school with constructive feedback.

The school is indeed attending to the low scored items as best as it can and intends to keep up the work on all high scores. Your prayers as important stakeholders to the school will do a lot for the school. For detailed feedback on survey report, please refer to the Survey feedback report which was sent to all parents.
